The high school lobby, cafe and gym will yet again be overwhelmed by bubble soccer, a bounce house, face painting, concessions, midway games and an inflatable obstacle course for the 2nd Annual Fall Carnival. Laser tag will be a new addition to the event, as well as a silent auction.
The Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wristbands were for sale at the last two football games and are now available during lunch periods (Oct 31-Nov 4). They will be sold for $10 per person (excludes bubble soccer and laser tag) or $15 per person (includes bubble soccer and laser tag). Prices at the door will shift to $15 and $20, respectively. Admission has a maximum of $50 per family.
As in the past, festivities are organized and supervised by band parents, yet run entirely by volunteering band members. Volunteers are to be stationed at various attractions, to which all Gull Lake students are invited to enjoy.
“The purpose of the carnival is to raise money for the GL Band Parents Association which provides money and structure for the middle and high school bands,” junior Drew Stark said, having volunteered last year.
“It should be a ton of fun (this year) because of some new large attractions,” Stark said.
